Book 2, Chapter 186 - Sissy

“What are you going to do about it? Your chest isn’t big and your heart is even smaller.” Zhao Jiuge revealed a teasing smile.

“You…!” Zhang Pingquan was so angry, she didn’t know how to counter Zhao Jiuge’s insult. Her chest heaved up and down in anger.

The young man in the blue shirt was still smiling. He watched this like he was watching a play.

“What do I want? I’ll let you see what I want!” Zhang Pingquan clenched her teeth and a faint killing intent spread out.

Spirit force fluctuations flowed out from her body, revealing her peak Foundation Realm Cultivation. Not only was she not weaker than Zhao Jiuge, she was even a bit stronger. She had broken through before Zhao Jiuge.

When she released all the spirit force inside her body, she reached forward and tried to grab Zhao Jiuge. Looking at Zhang Pingquan’s expression, it was as if there was some deep hatred between them.

Zhao Jiuge’s expression became serious. He didn’t think Zhang Pingquan would actually make a move. Most importantly, they were out in public, right in front of the Duty Hall.

Zhao Jiuge wanted to resist, but he was too late—Zhang Pingquan was too fast. Yet Zhao Jiuge had a strange light in his eyes; he didn’t panic too much when facing Zhang Pingquan’s attack.

He activated his spirit force, and this caused the young man in the ink-colored shirt to become suspicious. It was clear that Zhao Jiuge could not avoid this grab, but instead of trying to find some way to deal with it, Zhao Jiuge continued to surge his spirit force.

The next scene made the young man understand why Zhao Jiuge had done nothing. Zhang Pingquan’s hand quickly arrived before Zhao Jiuge, and her grab turned into a palm. His blue sword robe trembled from the strike, but Zhao Jiuge remained still.

A purple-blue light shined from Zhao Jiuge’s body and protected him. Zhang Pingquan felt like she had smashed into a steel wall. Fortunately, she hadn’t used her full power, or else the backlash would have been much more painful.

She felt like she had struck a steel wall, but what was strange was that the purple-blue light rippled like water when it came into contact with her hand.

Zhang Pingquan’s expression suddenly changed and her face showed a mix of panic and pain.

“What is this?” Zhang Pingquan was terrified and looked at her right arm. Silver lightning wrapped around her arm, then she felt it go numb, followed by a burst of pain.

The smiling young man’s expression finally changed and his eyes narrowed. He stared at the purple-blue light that had appeared around Zhao Jiuge.

“Spirit treasure armor!” When the young man in the light blue shirt spat out these words, he seemed shocked.

It turned out that Zhao Jiuge was wearing the Purple Jiu Chaotic Thunder Armor. He hadn’t reached the Nascent Soul Realm, so he couldn’t refine it in his purple palace or use its full power. He could only wear it and rely on its natural powers.

When Zhang Pingquan attacked Zhao Jiuge, she triggered the armor’s defense. The armor was certainly domineering, and the lightning directly wrapped around Zhang Pingquan’s arm, causing her to feel intense pain.

At this moment, the young man in the light blue shirt was no longer as elegant as before and made his move.

His aura suddenly changed and he waved his sleeve. A few rays of cyan spirit force shot out and wrapped around the lightning around Zhang Pingquan’s arm.

The lightning disappeared in an instant. Seeing that Zhang Pingquan was fine, the young man in the light blue shirt let out a cold snort. Then, in a voice filled with concern, he asked Zhang Pingquan, “Are you alright?”

Zhang Pingquan still felt some lingering fear. That lightning was just constantly active around the armor and was not something Zhao Jiuge had activated. It also wasn’t strong, which was why Zhang Pingquan wasn’t really injured. However, she still felt that paralyzing pain in her body. Her face was completely pale from being frightened. She had made the first move against Zhao Jiuge but instead was injured by the lightning.

Zhang Pingquan’s face was still pale and showed some lingering fear as she answered, “Fifth Senior Brother, I’m fine.”

“It’s good that you’re fine. Your senior brother will get revenge for you.” Then the young man turned toward Zhao Jiuge with a gloomy smile.

The young man was named Zhou Hongyong, and he was Du Jun’s fifth disciple. He hadn’t entered the sect as a new disciple and then earned a spot in the inner sect like the rest. Instead, Du Jun had brought him back directly from the outside. Zhou Hongyong didn’t have a good understanding of the sword art and his cultivation was average. However, he was proficient in a variety of formations and was very good at these subjects. Earlier today, Du Jun had accepted Zhang Pingquan as a disciple, and the second and fifth disciples had come to the Duty Hall with Zhang Pingquan to register her own peak. Zhang Pingquan’s second senior sister had gone inside, and while they were waiting outside, Zhang Pingquan saw Zhao Jiuge.

After Zhou Hongyong learned about what had happened before, under his encouragement, Zhang Pingquan had tried to start trouble with Zhao Jiuge in an attempt to teach him a lesson.

Zhao Jiuge’s teacher was the Head Teacher, but their teacher’s position was not low either—he was the Head Seat of the Mysterious Strange Peak. Also, disputes between disciples were a small matter, so their teachers wouldn’t get involved. One could only blame oneself for being weaker than others.

Zhou Hongyong originally thought his junior sister was strong enough to deal with Zhao Jiuge. However, he didn’t expect Zhao Jiuge to possess a spirit treasure-grade armor.

This caused Zhou Hongyong to become envious. Even he didn’t have a spirit treasure armor! Although he wasn’t much older and had just formed his spirit core, his knowledge was greater.

When he saw his junior sister suffer a loss, he wanted to act strong before his new junior sister. In his mind, even if he wasn’t using formations, which was what he was most skilled with, just his early stage Spirit Core Realm spirit force was enough to crush Zhao Jiuge.

Seeing the young man coming. Zhao Jiuge began to observe him. Although the Spirit Core Realm spirit force made Zhao Jiuge wary, he was not afraid. This was because his senior sister was inside, and if anything were to happen, she would immediately come out. Also, he had the spirit treasure armor, so he could at least fight against Zhou Hongyong. Although he would lose, it wouldn’t be an easy fight.

Looking at the slightly feminine Zhou Hongyong, Zhao Jiuge suddenly smiled without any warning. He seemed to think of something and said, “Just look at you, and you want to look cool. I see that you’re likely to end up just like your junior sister, a sissy.”

The skinny Zhou Hongyong had extremely white skin and his shirt was a bit feminine. Most importantly, his voice didn’t sound masculine at all.

The reason Zhao Jiuge laughed was because he finally understood why this Zhou Hongyong didn’t speak when they first met. It turned out that he was a sissy.

Zhou Hongyong’s expression changed greatly. What he hated most was when people called him a sissy. When he was small, he could only endure, and then later, due to his low self-esteem, he always remained in closed door cultivation, studying formations.

Later on, by coincidence, he was found by Du Jun, who liked his talent for formations. Du Jun then brought him back to the Mysterious Strange Peak and accepted him as a disciple.

Although he walked a different path, all paths led back to the path to immortality. Zhou Hongyong’s talent with the sword dao was low, but his talent for formations was excellent.

Zhou Hongyong’s chest heaved up and down. His eyes were vicious like a poisonous snake’s as he said, “Stinky brat, it seems like if I don’t teach you a lesson, you won’t know your place!”

He didn’t use a formation. Instead, he directly formed a huge palm with his spirit force and sent it flying toward Zhao Jiuge. He felt that he could easily deal with a brat at the late stage of the Foundation Realm.

Feeling the pressure in the palm, Zhao Jiuge was not afraid and was instead happy. He wanted to take advantage of this situation to test the power of the armor. He wanted to see how long he could endure when attacked by a Spirit Core Realm cultivator.

Zhao Jiuge also let out a cold snort and the spirit force he had gathered erupted. He also created a palm that smashed forward.

There was a thunderous bang in the air. The golden spirit force Zhao Jiuge had sent out had disappeared and there was some remaining cyan spirit force. However, it hadn’t done much damage to Zhao Jiuge.

Zhou Hongyong’s expression changed. He wasn’t expecting Zhao Jiuge to deal with that attack so easily. It looked like Zhao Jiuge’s cultivation method was strange and domineering.

A crisp sword hymn echoed and then a ray of sword energy shined brightly.

Zhou Hongyong took out his spirit treasure flying sword, a small, pure-gold flying sword that gave off a faint glow. Although his talent for the sword was not high, it didn’t mean he didn’t know how to use one at all. In fact, he was much better than most people.

Seeing Zhou Hongyong change completely after taking out the flying sword, Zhao Jiuge began to laugh like a madman. His eyes were filled with excitement and battle intent. He shouted, “Sissy, come and fight!” Afterward, Zhao Jiuge’s aura changed.

Golden light covered Zhao Jiuge’s body and flowed around him. The light became dense and formed a golden armor around him. He had activated his Sanskrit Divine Body.

Zhao Jiuge felt his heart burn with passion when he saw Zhou Hongyong pull out the flying sword. He had always yearned for the sword art after he had mastered the first layer, but his status didn’t allow him to learn more. Even though he had entered the inner sect, Jian Wuxian had told him that he had to wait until next month before he would begin teaching him.

From Zhou Hongyong’s actions, his plan seemed to be to use the Mysterious Heaven Sword Art, and given that he was a direct disciple, he would naturally not use the weak first layer.

With the armor and the Sanskrit Divine Body, it was as if he was wrapped in a tortoise shell. He really wanted to see the power of the Mysterious Heaven Sword Art’s later layers.

At this moment, Zhao Jiuge’s blue sword robe fluttered and he stared at the sissy, Zhou Hongyong.
